This holiday season, Salonnières wants to make an impact for good with a group of people that's really important to us: kids in our community. We're moms with 9 school-aged children between the 3 of us, and we care deeply about all of the kids and their families in our Phoenix area neighborhoods.
During a normal year, we'd be playing as many as six Christmas concerts. Since that isn't possible this year, we're thrilled to bring you two gorgeous holiday videos recorded at Grand Canyon University's fantastic worship arts studios. We're also thrilled to partner with Arizona Brainfood! Instead of collecting donations to support our music at in-person concerts, we instead dedicate these videos to AzBrainfood and ask you to donate generously to their worthwhile cause. Learn all about their amazing work here.
AzBrainfood helps address a significant issue – childhood hunger and its impact on learning. There are Arizona children who go without sufficient food from the time they eat a school lunch on Friday until returning to school on Monday. This is not only a health issue, but also an education issue. A hungry child cannot focus on learning. AzBrainfood provides backpacks full of child-friendly food for weekends during the school year. Working with 125 schools in Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Scottsdale, Fountain Hills and Tempe, volunteer-filled backpacks are provided weekly to more than 3,000 at-risk children.
Just $5 feeds a child for a weekend, or $20 for a whole month. Every donation, big or small, is worthwhile. We hope you enjoy these Christmas videos as a gift from us, donate to this amazing non-profit, and share with your friends. Have a wonderful, safe holiday season!
